A Hertfordshire charity funding suicide intervention skills training for adults working with young people. Training enables professionals to identify warning signs and provide a pathway to help combat suicidal thoughts.
The Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire is one validated measure that can be used to screen for, assess and monitor potential mental health difficulties. It also enables schools to measure the impact and evaluate the effectiveness of delivered or commissioned interventions. (Training and support on measuring outcomes in relation to pupils’ mental health is planned for September 2017 onwards.)
