The aim of this survey was to obtain views from teenage boys in Hertfordshire on mental health and emotional wellbeing. Traditionally, boys are far less likely to contribute to surveys on mental health and the survey was therefore particularly targeted at teenage boys while being left open for girls to also contribute.
In total, 1129 people participated in the survey, with 1,017 surveys being completed.
99% of participants lived or attended school in Hertfordshire
324 female respondents completed the survey (out of 536)
641 male respondents completed the survey (out of 853)
The majority of respondents were aged between 10 and 15 (90%) with the next highest category being 16-18 (5%).
