Young people talk to CAMHS transformation board

Time and date:
Monday, 27 March 2017 - 4:30pm

Children and young people who are working with us to think about emotional health and wellbeing services for the future meet CAMHS Transformation board members at the Mimram Room, County Hall, Hertford, SG13 8DQ.

They will talk about mental health first aid in schools, explain their involvement in the CAMHS Transformation programme, like designing the Sound Thoughts logo and ideas for this website, as well as testing how well services are working.

The group will think about why boys and young men are less likely to talk about their mental health or ask for help and suggest initiatives to encourage them to feel comfortable asking for support.

The Young Commissioners come from all over the county, from all walks of life, and are aged 13-19, up to 21 for care leavers and up to 25 for those with additional needs.

They're supported by Hertfordshire Youth Connexions. You can get involved too. Visit Hertfordshire Youth Connexions website for more information.
