Between 10 and 20% of women develop a mental illness during pregnancy or within the first year after having a baby.
Having good mental health during pregnancy and following the birth of a baby is important both for the mother’s and father’s resilience and the baby’s emotional development.
East and North Herts CCG, Herts Valleys CCG and Hertfordshire County Council are working in partnership to increase support for perinatal mental health within Early Help and prevent low level depression or anxiety from escalating to higher cost services.
At this conference delegates will hear user experiences of both mothers and fathers who have experienced poor perinatal mental health as well as hearing of national developments.
Spaces are free but limited and will priority will be given to:
- practitioners in Hertfordshire working directly with parents in the perinatal period
- commissioners of both children’s and adult services in Hertfordshire.
Further details will follow; if you would like to attend this conference please register.
