Just Talk - talking shows strength

We all have mental health, just as we all have physical health.

A new Hertfordshire campaign aims to make it easier for all of us to talk about our mental health and seek help when it’s needed.

At the moment 70% of boys and 72% of girls in Hertfordshire think it’s ok to talk about their mental health.  We need to make it 100%.

Watch mental health campaigners Jonny Benjamin and Neil Laybourn backing #JustTalk:

CAMHS parent carer support programme

If your child is receiving support from CAMHS (child and adolescent mental health services) or Step 2 service why not join a free six-week course, run by Carers in Herts, that provides parents and carers with skills and support to help your child and improve your health and wellbeing.

Take a minute, change a life

World Suicide Prevention Day is on Sunday 10 September 2017 and the theme this year is ‘Take a minute, change a life’.

Every year, more than 800,000 people worldwide take their own life and up to 25 times as many make a suicide attempt.  A recent study commissioned by the Mental Health Foundation revealed that nearly two in three people in Britain have faced mental health issues. Offering a listening ear can make all the difference.
