Enjoy Feeling Good Week 2017

Young people judge Feeling Good Week funding applications
Time and date:
Saturday, 18 February 2017 (All day)

Feeling Good Week is a Hertfordshire-wide event that sees schools and the wider community promoting young people’s emotional wellbeing, raising awareness of mental health and where to access support with the school community.

This year, it runs from Saturday 18 February until Friday 25 February and some 44 special projects to boost the wellbeing of children and young people in Hertfordshire have won a share of a £20,000 cash pot.

The CAMHS tier system explained

Currently, Hertfordshire's emotional and wellbeing services for children and young people are commissioned through a tiered system, explained below. We are developing a new approach to emotional wellbeing services for children and young people in Hertfordshire. Called iThrive, it places an emphasis on prevention and early intervention. There's more information about iThrive here.

What is CAMHS?

CAMHS stands for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.

In Hertfordshire we use the term CAMHS to cover services that support the emotional and mental health of children and young people like school counselling, play therapy and more specialist teams like the eating disorder service.

At the moment we are going through a programme called CAMHS Transformation where we are increasing the amount of help available, particularly early on and trying to improve the experience children and young people using services have.
